Drop Box

Today I learned about an awesome resource called "Drop Box" from my go-to-techster Mr. Chris Harper. I took some photo's for my friend's company (Pro Cut Lawn Care) and I was having trouble getting all the images to him. I initially tried to e-mail him a zipped folder of images but even that was too big, so I attempted separate e-mails and that was a pain in the you-know-what and for some reason it errored anyway. So Chris heard about our problem and sent me to a site called Dropbox.com.

Essentially, I downloaded the software, had to put it in my applications and now anytime I want to have files saved in a "cloud system" (I think this is an appropriate time to use that phrase) - I can drag them to my "Drop Box" and will be able to access them from any other computer via the internet. I was also able to "Share" a folder with Brad and Chris so they can access the photo's I was struggling to get to them (obviously I could have burned them on a cd, but I'm a little too new-school for that). Haha, ya right.

Anyway, thats my little trick for you. It's super easy and you can store up to 2.0 gigs on it for free. If you want me to refer you then you can get an extra .25 gigs (I got it because Chris referred me)! Let me know!
