Bahamas

Today I learned something new about one of my favorite places in the world. As I ate my lunch out in Rosa Park Circle w. my co-workers Alexis, Chris and Andy we started talking about Andy's recent trip to the Bahamas. One thing he learned while he was there was that the origins of the name "Bahamas" comes from the Spanish words "Baja Mar" meaning "Shallow sea" or "low tide". The place that I love so much in the Bahamas is Great Guana Cay, which is located in the Abacos and only has a permanent population of around 150 Bahamians. I definitely learn new things every time I'm there, but most of those things consist of dance moves and how to figure out what happened the night before (ahh, nippers!).

Who's up for another trip? Just thinking about Nippers get's me antsy for that dance floor!
